I am Dr. Gladiola Musabelliu, a psychologist dedicated to helping young people discover their strengths and thrive. I hold a Doctoral Degree in School and Clinical Child Psychology from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) at the University of Toronto. Over the years, I have had the privilege of working in various settings, including the OISE Counselling and Psychoeducational Clinic, the Surrey Place Centre, the Toronto Catholic District School Board, and several private practices across Toronto. I have also enjoyed teaching and mentoring students as a teaching assistant and sessional lecturer at OISE/UofT.
For more than a decade, I have worked with children, adolescents, and families to support their emotional well-being and learning. I help young people who experience challenges such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, anger, defiance, obsessive-compulsive disorder, low self-esteem, and trauma. Having spent many years working within schools, I also guide families in understanding their child’s learning profile and navigating the educational system to make informed decisions about programs and placements.
My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to each individual. I draw on evidence-based approaches, including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based strategies, dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), and play therapy. I offer services in both English and Albanian and am deeply committed to creating a warm and supportive space where every child and family feels heard, understood, and empowered to grow.
